Time
A mentor told me a long time ago that time is the best gift you can give or receive. I opened my inbox today to an email from an acquaintance. He wanted to tell me that something I said and did for him 6 years ago has “stuck with him”. I was floored, honestly, it took me a second to even remember what it was he referenced. All I did was pray for him one Sunday morning and then the next week asked how things were with that situation. You see, it was something I said and did in passing. For me it was just a moment of my life…a few minutes, but to this guy, it has imprinted his soul for years. This has really got me asking myself this question:
“How are you with your time?
Selfish? Selfless? Are you open to stopping your grocery trip to pray for a friend in need? After church do you just pack up your gear or are you available to talk and pray with people?
As a representative of Jesus I need to be ok with giving of my time. As of late I’ve been pretty stingy with my time. I need to remember that 2 minutes of my day could impact someone’s life for years…
I needed this email…thx Jesus,
nate

It’s amazing how much the little things matter that you don’t even realize. I remember getting an email a few years ago from a homestay that Spies and I stayed with on Fall tour 98. Turns out she’s a Christian now, and I had a big part in it. Never would have even guessed.
And as a sidenote, you’d be surprised how many things you said and did have had a significant impact on me, bro. You’re a leaders and an influencer and that’s a great gift. Thanks for the reminder, and keep caring for people and making a difference by just being who God made you to be.
