What gets ya?
My Pastor talked not long ago about what’s your Popeye moment? For Popeye himself, something would get him boiling and he’d say, “I’ve had all I can stands and I can’t stands it no more!” Then he’d pull out his can of spinach and literally open up a can of whoop a$$.
So I ask you. In the local church, what’s your Popeye moment? What gets you to the boiling point and how do you think we change it?

First if all Hi, its nice to meet you.
I think my boiling point in church is when I enter a sanctuary and it is full of people who claim to love Jesus but their expressions do not match. I am not Pentecostal at all but when I am singing to the God of the universe who saved me… Well I can’t control my outward gratefulness to him.
How do we fix that. Try to un-train the career Christians.
Am I allowed more than one Boiling Point? Let’s see…people walking in late and walking to the FRONT to sit down (so distracting!), people talking during worship, people eating during worship (really people?!), people worshiping and then seeing someone they know in another aisle and going over to them to give them a hug IN THE MIDDLE OF WORSHIP. So basically I think my boiling point boils down to IRREVERENT WORSHIPERS. That’s my scathing review.
