My Sunday Select

On Sundays I’m going to start posting You Tube vids of some of my favorite music selections. This week…

The Four Seasons,  Dec. 1963 (Oh what a Night)

The talent in this group is ridiculous. First you’ve got Frankie Valli as your front man, but then to see the talent not only vocally but instrumentally as well, within the rest of the group…wow. Check out the bass riff while finishing his vocal line @ 1:43.

  1. It’s a great song with a cool piano opening. But after knowing the subject matter of the song, it almost makes me want to rewrite the opening line with “Oh what a night. That’s when I lost my vir….” well, you know.

So this was a pretty race song back then, huh? Along with Lola from The Kinks.

  2. Oops, meant to say, “Oh what a night. Late December back in 63. That’s when I lost etc etc.”
